Idea Change

As we went about trying to actually plan out how we could possibly film our opening we discovered many problems that would be very hard to work around this made it unfeasible to go ahead with the opening we had originally planned.

Some of these problems included:

- Location
- Distances
- Actors
- Safety

In order to actually be able to film our opening it mean we had to change it, to be suitable to the surroundings and resources available.

Production Company Logos

   
These are the logos of some iconic logos of media production companies around the world. They all have distinct feature the will let them stand out and be able to be visible by the general public. They also have simple designs that enable the logos to be slightly tailored in order to appeal to different markets, audiences or people or simply just to be more appealing. So of these logos have roots in long standing traditions and have been slightly revamped throughout the age to allow the to stay relevant and appealing

Music Analysis

The music in this scene is a mix of diegetic and non-diegetic sound. The music that plays is very eerie, however gradually picks up to which causes suspense and tension in the audience. This is constant throughout the film. Non-diegetic sound is also present in the backdrop. This gives the audience an insight of the setting and makes the audience feel as if they are there.




In this film the music picks up slowly creating a feel of suspense and tension, making the audience wonder what will happen next? The music is played on a piano, the piano gives it a eerie feel almost as if it is music that would be heard in a haunted or ghostly manor. This creates a uncomfortable feel and the music's change in pitch causes the audience to feel on edge. The music also speeds up as the scene progresses and the increase in the tempo of the music is almost as if it is meant to replicate a heartbeat. 

In the SE7EN opening, the music is very repetitive and remains constant throughout but there are non-diegetic noises scattered throughout with breaks up the regularity of the music. This suggest that there is a sinister undertone to what otherwise would be a very run of the mill song for a thriller opening. It also relates to the story of the film as the killer is very meticulous, calculated and regiment but in a very sinister way.

Preliminary

IN this preliminary scene we tried to implement what we had learnt about camera angles and continuity editing. When editing the scene we tried to make the transitions as smooth as possible to allow for a professional end product. I believe that this objective was achieved by the end

If we were to redo the preliminary we could try to implement lighting techniques not only would this allow us to create and manufacture the desire effects or undertones but it could also add to the professionalism of the end product, if done correctly. There were also some parts of the preliminary where the continuity could have been better, e.g. there could have been things that look exactly alike or at the ver least similar. So of the camera techniques that we have room for improvement as they were not as smooth or as clean as they could have been

The bus and the street are the settings that I am going to use for a scene in the opening, these locations will be used in order to give the opening a secne of realism it can make the story feel more natural and allow the the audience the best more easily engrossed into the story of the film, which will give the events more power
